The best ads of the week February (8-14)

February is known as the month of love. This Valentine’s Day was different than any other as it came after a hardship of the pandemic. To celebrate the day to the fullest, many brands ranging from jewelry, food, lifestyle came up with some of the relatable ad campaigns to maximise customer engagement and sales to coincide with the occasion. Most of the campaigns promoted that Valentine’s should not be just about a day or a person but can also mean self-love or care for the one you love every day.

  • Kitkat

Kitkat wants their customers to go beyond the regular and express their love to all those who bring a smile in their breaks like their online class friends, best friend, their new neighbour. The campaign extends the thought of ‘Life Hai, KITKAT Break Banta Hai’ by encouraging the consumers to re-connect with those who matter in their lives.

  • Britannia Little Hearts

Reminiscing the deeds of romance and making someone’s heartbreak a little sweeter, the film takes us through the journey of a comedy of errors. This brand-new campaign by Britannia Little Hearts takes you on a fun ride that will make you believe that just like Little Hearts every little heartbreak can be loaded with sweetness too.

Dating app OkCupid launched the second leg of its digital campaign #LoveIs… to celebrate single millennials or ‘hopeful romantics’ to gently remind them that they deserve love and not to lose hope as #LoveIsIncoming.

Havells India Limited’s Valentine’s Day campaign urged customers to create the perfect style with safe and stress-free grooming experience. The digital campaign aims to educate on various aspects of self-grooming amid the ‘New Normal’ with various styling themes for both male and female audiences.

Fujifilm India Private Limited launched its digital campaign titled ‘Give love’ on Valentine’s Day. Fujifilm has rolled out this campaign to address the confusion among consumers to purchase the perfect gift not only for their partners but also for their other loving members of family and friends.

  • MNX

Valentine’s Day is all about cherishing and expressing love that knows no boundaries – be it with your partner, friends, family, pets or even with your favourite movies. This short film by MNX celebrates the bond between two ‘bros and their ‘Bromance’’. It features how one covers up for the other when he is in a difficult situation.

  • Burger King

Burger King India has taken a different stand by terming Valentine’s Day as a ‘season of breakups’. Steering away from all the mush that generally surrounds the occasion, this campaign urges its customers not to compromise and aim for something better. Featuring Internet’s match-making sensation Sima Taparia, the film witnesses her convincing customers to break-away from their current relationship and move on to something better.

  • ‘Mohabbat in Maldives’ by ISHQ FM

The month-long campaign was launched by the radio channel for listeners in the national capital and Mumbai. As part of the campaign, the couples battled it out through a series of contests based on Bollywood, music and travel. The winning couple gets a chance to bag an all-expense paid romantic getaway to the beautiful island nation. Over the month, several couples participated in the campaign through FM as well as online channels.

Cadbury Dairy Milk Silk decided to celebrate Valentine’s Day by giving young people in love ideas, on how to celebrate Valentine’s Day in these tough times. Cadbury launched a heart touching ad campaign #HowFarWillYouGoForLove.

Pepperfry wants you to #MoveOn this Valentine’s day from the complicated relationship you have with your furniture with an ‘Its Not So Complicated’ Sale.

Featuring actors Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, this ad film takes an approach towards flirting using Shayaris based on particular flavours of Lay’s.

Casio India, the watch brand introduced a campaign to celebrate the season of love. As part of the campaign, the brand has two videos that reiterate the importance of time keeping for your special ones.

SKINN, a fine fragrance brand from the house of Titan, launched its digital campaign #BestSaidWithSKINN to celebrate Valentine’s Day with celebrated actor Rajkummar Rao and his partner Patralekha.
